Renee Rapp brought her Bite Me Tour to Columbus, OH on October 8, 2025 (fittingly International Lesbian Day). Her set began with her on a pedestal singing “Everything to Everyone” and then going straight into the sassiness of “Leave Me Alone.”

One notable moment was when Rapp got to the song “Kiss It” on the setlist. She had a “Kiss It Cam” displayed behind her on the screen which showed audience members kissing their significant others.

Later in the show, Rapp brought the energy down with a little piano moment where she sang “That’s So Funny,” the sister song to “Poison Poison.” After the song finished, Rapp mentioned that she seems to get more pissed off every time she performs the song live. She then played one of my favorites off of her new record, “Sometimes,” which Rapp said almost didn’t make the album because she didn’t think it fit the vibe she was going for. I’m very glad she decided to release the song because I feel that song really showcases what a talented vocalist she is.

The show was full of incredible visual moments like when Rapp took a handheld camera throughout the crowd during her performance of “Swim.” My favorite visual moment from the show was when Rapp sang “Pretty Girls.” Right before the last chorus, Rapp made her way to the end of the walkway, cameraman following. As the final chorus hit, you could see displayed on the big screen, the entire audience behind her jumping up and down and letting loose to the song. It was a moment that put such a huge smile on my face.

At the very end of the show, Rapp started off singing her hit from the Mean Girls movie, “Not My Fault.” She stopped the band after the first chorus to say that she didn’t want to sing that song, but she candidly admitted that “the bit is getting harder to do” since most of the audience knew she would be stopping the song to say that. Rapp decided to instead play the song she “really likes” which is “At Least I’m Hot.” A fan whose dorm Rapp visited at OSU earlier in the day was chosen to do the spoken word part of the song in the second verse.

I had actually went to NYC to see the Bite Me Tour at Madison Square Garden and loved it so much that I was thrilled to get to see it for a second time in Columbus. I’ve been a fan of Rapp’s since I first heard “Colorado” years ago, and it’s been so fun to watch her career grow. Any chance I get to watch her perform live, I will be taking it, and I highly suggest that you make sure to catch a performance of hers as well.
