Aly & AJ brought their Silver Deliverer Tour to Stage AE in Pittsburgh, PA on October 14, 2025 with Amanda Shires as opener. Shires kicked the night off with her etherial set. She performed a mix of her solo work as well as songs released by the country group of which Shires is a member, The Highwomen. I was captivated by Shires’s Dolly Parton-esque voice as well as the fact she also plays the violin while on stage. Amanda Shires is a brilliant performer, and her set was the best way to get the crowd ready for Aly & AJ.

Seconds before Aly & AJ began their set, the screen on stage lit up, and you could see the girls backstage getting ready to walk out. I loved that they started the show this way, as it’s rare for an audience to see artists right before they hit the stage. Included in the setlist was “Dandelion,” written for Aly’s son, “What It Feels Like,” a song they dedicated to the women in the audience, and a mashup of “Hold On” and “No One.”

Toward the middle of the show, Aly & AJ invited Amanda Shires back to the stage for her to sing and play violin on “Blue Dress” and “Lasso.” The addition of the violin and third vocal harmony brought chills to my body, and I remember thinking that they should record versions of these songs featuring Shires because I would love to hear them again.

Prior to the performance of “Sirens,” Aly & AJ told the story of how they survived a mass shooting after one of their shows. The girls mentioned that they were working with the organization Everytown in order to help raise money to end gun violence. They asked any audience members to donate if able and that they were halfway toward their $100,000 goal. Ending gun violence is a cause that is also important to me, and I loved that they were taking the initiative to raise awareness and money during their tour.

“No One” wasn’t the only throwback song that Aly & AJ performed that night. They sang “Chemicals React,” and I remember loving how the crowd went insanely wild when the first chorus hit. Later on in the set, the girls performed “Rush,” and throughout the song, the cameras showed the audience singing on the screen on the back of the stage which was such a special moment. At another point in the show, Aly & AJ had an acoustic set where they sang “Something More,” one of my all time favorite Aly & AJ songs, and “Out of the Blue.” The two songs told the story of AJ’s first relationship with “Something More” being about how the pair met, and “Out of the Blue” being about how the relationship fell apart.

Aly & AJ ended the set with their biggest hit, “Potential Breakup Song.” The crowd was rowdy, and you could see every person reliving their childhood while screaming the lyrics and jumping up and down dancing. I have been an Aly & AJ fan since their first album, and it was a dream to finally see them live after all of these years. It lived up to every expectation I had. Aly & AJ have announced their Places to Run Tour for 2026, and they are coming back to Pittsburgh on April 7th. I highly recommend getting a ticket if Aly & AJ have a show in your area. There will be no regrets getting to see them perform. You can check out a gallery of photos from the show below!
