The Grass is Always “Greener” When Taylor Acorn Comes to Pittsburgh!

Taylor Acorn’s North American Tour 2025 came to the Thunderbird Café and Music Hall in Pittsburgh, PA on November 13, 2025. This was my fifth time getting to see Acorn in concert, and I was still just as ecstatic as every other time.

I’ve been listening to Acorn’s music since 2019 when she was releasing country music. To see her now have venues full of concertgoers every time she comes to Pittsburgh makes me unbelievably proud of her.

Acorn started off her set with the title track off of her latest album, Poster Child. It’s one of my favorites from the record and was brilliant for getting the crowd pumped up with its explosive chorus.

Halfway through the set, Acorn mentioned that she had been losing her voice and apologized for not sounding as she normally does. To be completely honest, had Acorn not mentioned this, I wouldn’t have noticed anything wrong with her vocals. She was still belting through songs like “Goodbye, Good Riddance” effortlessly — or what it seemed like it to me.

One cute moment during the set was when Acorn brought up a young fan to spin a wheel which would choose what song she performed next. It landed on “Homebody,” which Acorn mentioned she’s only ever played live “like once.” It was fun to get to hear her sing a song that doesn’t get to be heard live too often.

Acorn played ten out of the twelve songs off of Poster Child as well as some fan favorites. I was thrilled to hear my two of my personal favorites, “Greener” and “Birds Still Sing.” I was hoping I would hear “Birds Still Sing” as I hadn’t seen it live before that day and wanted to have that experience. I may have also shed a couple tears since the lyrics hit a little close to home for me.

Closing out the show, Acorn sang her hits “Shapeshifting” and “Psycho.” The crowd was still so full of energy at the end as well as Acorn and her band. They give 110% throughout the entire show to make sure every person in the crowd is enjoying themselves. I highly recommend everyone go see Taylor Acorn live if given the opportunity!
