Freya Skye brought her infectious energy, heartfelt vocals, and undeniable charm to Pittsburgh, PA for a night at Citizens Live at The Wylie on October 7, 2026. From playful audience interactions to emotional singalongs, Skye made it clear that the connection between her and her fans is what makes every show special.
One of the first things that stood out was just how much Skye noticed the people around her. After performing the opening song, “Can’t Fake It,” Skye admitted that she was getting distracted by everyone’s outfits, a sweet moment that perfectly captured her genuine excitement about being in a room full of fans.
About halfway through the set, the stairs onstage turned to reveal a replica of Skye’s “studio,” featuring guitars and cozy lamps. The intimate stage setup led to an acoustic/stripped back portion of the show and gave fans a glimpse into the world behind the music.
The evening also offered a taste of what’s next for Skye. She performed her newest single, “Bad Taste,” an exciting and fun addition to her growing catalog. Even more exciting was the performance of “Effortless” from her upcoming album. Despite being unreleased, the crowd already knew the words and were eagerly singing along.
But the show wasn’t just about the music. Skye made sure the audience was part of the experience too. At one point, she announced that she wanted to play games and headed straight into the crowd. The result involved a mystery trade (which ended with Skye receiving a bag of surprise goodies from the fan in exchange for a guitar pick), Rock, Paper, Scissors in exchange for selfies with fans, and even taking one fan’s phone onstage to record a video while performing.
Perhaps the most touching moment of the night came prior to performing “London.” Skye spoke about how being in the crowd makes her feel at home and then told the audience, “Pittsburgh, tonight you are my London.” For a moment, the venue felt like a shared home, with Skye and her fans finding that same sense of belonging in one another.
Just when it seemed the night couldn’t get any more memorable, Skye performed her hit “Silent Treatment” as her encore. Rather than simply singing the bridge and final chorus herself, she turned the spotlight on the audience, asking her fans to shout the lyrics. The room erupted as everyone threw themselves into every word and as blue and white star confetti shot into the air.
The best part of the night was looking around and seeing so many young fans experiencing the magic of live music. Watching them sing every word, light up when Freya waved to them, and dance with their friends brought me right back to being a young girl watching my favorite pop girlies. It was a nostalgic reminder that, even as we grow up, a little piece of that young girl who looked up to her favorite artists never really leaves us.
I highly recommend checking out Freya Skye’s Stars Align Tour if it is making its way to a city near you. If not, definitely keep an eye out for when she does come through your area as she is one performer you do not want to miss. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for this young, bright talent.
