The Beaches’ Opening Set Has Me Saying, “Headline Tour When?”

The Beaches got the crowd warmed up for Louis Tomlinson’s How Did We Get Here? Tour in Pittsburgh, PA on July 10, 2026. I was ecstatic to see them live again since I hadn’t seen them since 2024. They kicked off their set with one of my favorite songs, “Takes One To Know One.” It’s such a catchy, upbeat song that I couldn’t stop myself from singing along while I was taking photos.

The band mostly performed songs from their most recent album, No Hard Feelings, which I was stoked to get to hear live for the first time. The two I was the most excited for were “Should’ve Known Better” and “Hypothetical” which were recently released on the deluxe version of the album. I’ve had both songs on repeat since they dropped and was like a kid in a candy store watching them performed live.

The crowd went wild when The Beaches played their song “Edge of the Earth,” recently featured on the hit television show Off Campus. I remember watching the show and geeking out when the character Hannah told Garrett that The Beaches’ Coachella set would “change his life” and then hearing “Edge of the Earth” play shortly after. It was so neat to see a band I’ve been listening to for years be highlighted in a show like that, but it’s been even cooler to see how much traction the song and the band has received since the show released. It fills me with joy to see so many other people discovering a band as fantastic as The Beaches.

My favorite thing about seeing The Beaches live is that they sound as great live as they do in the studio versions of their songs. Singer Jordan Miller’s vocals never falter throughout any song, and the band plays flawlessly even as they are dancing around the stage and interacting with the audience. Their energy never diminishes for a second of their set, making every second of their performance a blast. It is evident by the smiles on every member’s face that they absolutely love getting to be on stage and performing.

After catching their set of the How Did We Get Here? Tour, I am now itching for The Beaches to headline a tour so that I can see these songs again live as well as some of my other favorites. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend checking out all of their music as well as getting to a show if you can.
